Update: Whoever guessed bad fuel (all of you) was right on the money. I can get it to start and run...sorta.
Unless you find a hamfisted way to turn it into a 69 joke.
But at least I got the 450 moved to the front of my condo.
Finally received my new side skirt in the mail. Forums weren’t lying when they said Helix parts are perfect fits for the CF Moto.
Madame DeLorean saved me from my awful day. I went on to have a splendid birthday and weekend with her. I still haven’t found my 450's key, but I have a feeling it’s somewhere in the mountain of Gambler 500 gear that’s still in the 451's boot.
I’m not going to post about my car history because y’all already know I’ve been hoarding smart cars since 2012 and aside from my first car, smarts are the only cars I’ve ever owned. So have my motorcycle reviews repackaged as a timeline!
I goofed and didn’t get my Goldwing to safety in time, so it’s enjoying the snow with the CF Moto. Interestingly though, only one of the two bikes started in this 20 degree freeze...
Instead of draining the 2+ year old petrol, I decided to do my “Gambler Mix” (premium + every fuel additive from the dollar store with the fire/explosion symbol on it) and fired it up.
The saga of the dead CF Moto ends today and Phoenix will rise!
Learning from previous crises I’ve been in I’m finding the best way to keep myself from turning into a self-harm type of depressed is to just keep living life mostly as normal and taking things one at a time. As of right now I’ve halted all expensive projects. If it costs more than $20 to fix it’s shuttered. However,…
Alright, so I’m just going to edit this whoooooole post. Flipping the starter solenoid around did the trick.
No matter where you sit on the political spectrum, make your vote count! I noticed some interesting things in my local polls...
So I kinda slipped a bit toward the “David Tracy” end of the collecting spectrum. As I collected bikes, I sort of shelved my smart projects. No more..
But what is it???
After a lot of cold weather rides, I’ve realized that a Ruckus (Chinese or not) would not be a good winter bike for me, so that means I’m going to sell/trade it. I have some crazy ideas...
Halloween is always an interesting time for me. Today marks the four year anniversary where I embarked on a journey of a lifetime. It’s been a wild ride. I admit not all of it has been spectacular and I have some regrets. However, I’m happier now than I’ve ever been in my entire life.
This is a 1972 Yamaha DT175. It’s a smoker with 3.2k on the odometer and starts on the first kick. For $600 and came with extra spark plugs and both keys!
The end of season fire sale has begun! Despite the title I’ve actually chosen what I want my next two bikes to be...
Ever since I first started driving a bit over ten years ago I’ve had the privilege of driving roughly fifty or so cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles. The last time my mind was blown this much was when I first saw a smart. What is this mystery car?
No longer arming themselves with just clones from more established brands, Chinese manufacturers and the brands they own are looking for a spot in your garage. But how did we get here? What’s with the clones? And most importantly, should you?
