Kinja on Android doesn’t seem to understand how 24 hour clocks work. 12:15 on a 24 clock means 12:15 pm, not 12:15 am (as in I didn’t choose 00:15). Ugh, but I digress..
I’ve been brainstorming how to get my little Chuckus to the Gambler 500 without having to rent a U-Haul trailer. While I have already solved the problem (putting the scoot in the bed of another Gambler is the cheapest, renting a U-Haul trailer comes a close second) here were my obstacles, including the insane idea I…
The bloody thing blew a fuse.
Mmmm I love the Galaxy S7's camera. This is the second Tesla to appear in the parking lot, the other is a 100D Model S owned by the President of the company.
I went swimming in Lake Michigan yesterday (my swim season doesn’t end until the air or the water becomes unbearably cold) at my favourite place in the world. This place has been extremely important to who I am today. Coincidentally I’ve also watched the area evolve right before my eyes.
I know what you’re thinking, “of course Mercedes got a new phone, she never holds onto phones for more than a few months!” And......crap, you’re right. Anyway, I followed through on selling the Mi Mix 2, here is why:
It’s now at the point where I’ve had dreams of riding a Honda CBX and a Suzuki RE5. I don’t care how few parts exist and how hard they’d be to work on, I need these bikes!!!
This morning the Widowmaker started making an awful pinging noise as I pulled into my work parking lot. I feared the worst in that my accidental burnout killed the engine...
I still need to install the turn indicators, however I’ve finally found the wires for them! Should be an easy job that’ll take like 30min at the most.
This was a phone I really really wanted to keep for a while, however after four months with it I keep wishing I bought something with an OLED screen instead.
Update: Same buffer image of my TV’s name.
This resto-modded 1980 GL1100 started life as your run of the mill Goldwing. It’s had its fairings ripped off, given a custom paint job, and it wears a custom set of carbs.
It’s running!!! My hunch that it sucked some water may have been correct. She purrs like an ugly patina’d kitten.
The GS850G dug a hole in my parking space and I put the Buell up for sale!
Last night I learned that I love big displacement vintage bikes. I was supposed to see a Honda VF500F Interceptor and that Ninja 500R today. Sensing that I got cold feet, the owner of the Suzuki GS850G dropped the price to “screw it” money.
So with the Rebel sold I decided to get something with the similar classic standard style, however with more power. Ideally, I want a bike that’ll eat up the miles better and faster than my Blast.
For my second motorcycle sale ever, I sold the Rebel for exactly what I paid for it. The person I got it from told me I can ride on his registration until 2020 and I was doing just that. So I didn’t even lose registration fees.
I need to get back to updating my diary, including some of the (mis)adventures of Madame DeLorean and myself both being trans POC in the Midwest. It’s been a wild ride since coming out and there’s still much to tell and learn.
As previously reported, I want to trade my Rebel for something different. It’s a fun bike and I love it, though I’m feeling I love the look of the bike more than the bike itself. I really want a Grom and/or a more powerful cruiser, sportbike, maybe even something else if it looks interesting enough.
My “Summer on Two” is going spectacular! I’ve retired all cars from daily driver duty. The smarts only move when I need to carry Madame DeLorean or to tow a trailer. I’m also preparing to ride through the winter, too.
